Julio Le Parc's Form→Action at Pérez Art Museum Miami from November 19, 2016 to March 19, 2017. This is the first survey of the artist's work in a U.S. museum and will feature over 100 pieces. Included in this 100 are installations, works on paper and archival items.

Le Parc was born in Mendoza and moved to Paris in the late 1950s. He is a founding member of the art collective, Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel (GRAV). His work employs innovative use of fields of light, movement and perception and was instrumental in the Op and Kinetic movements of the time.
His work explores the social power of art and his theories on the subject were of great influence to the French avant-garde of the day. Le Parc was a bridge
between activist artists in Latin America and Parisian art circles.

Form→Action is curated and organized by Estrellita Brodsky.

Galerie Thomas Schulte (Charlottenstrasse 24, Berlin) presents an exhibit by Leunora Salihu July 2 to August 27, 2016. There will be an opening from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 1.

The artist works in a variety of materials, clay, wood, plywood and plaster. She often combines these materials to create tension (or harmony) as the piece
requires. Salihu rhythmically repeats round and square elements creating a irreconcilable link between the overall form and the "ompound segments." You will notice forms reminicsent of architecuture and design in these pieces as well as hints of the natural world (think hives and nexts).

This exhibit comes at the same time as the first extensive monograph of Salihu's work (published by Kerber Verlag).

Simon Schubert's Jenseits von Ideen runs June 24 to July 30, 2016 at Wagner + Partner (Strausberger Platz 8 . 10243 Berlin). There will be an opening with the artist from 7 to 10 p.m., Friday, June 24. This is the artist's first exhibit with the gallery. He works with folded paper pushing drawing to its limits. He also works in installation inspired by the literary.

You enter this world into a room of papered reliefs and and a fully clad paper house providing the illusion of an actual house revealing various views.

This sounds like an exhibit to be visited rather than described. Words may only obscure the impact of this art.

Scott White Contemporary Art runs solo exhibit by Daniel Davidson June 18 to October 21, 2016. There will be a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18,
The exhibit features paintings and works on painting by the New York-based Davidson.

His illustrative pieces have a cartoon-like quality. There is also something sureal about them with images juxtaposed against incongruous seeming colors. If you look close you may even detect some humor in these multi-faceted paintings.

The Davidoff Art Initiative presents Art In Lounges Program. The inaugural artist, Dominican Fausto Ortiz, focuses on photography. He is from the
Dominican Republic and is a member of Grufo, a Santiago-area photographic collective. Ortiz teaches photography at PUCM University (Santiago).

The artist says "My work is the result of living in and surviving a Caribbean context, where changes and geographical mobility are the norm. Art is the only democratic space for us as humans to discern and craft our ideas, regardless of socioeconomic level or political beliefs. It is the perfect platform to express your feelings towards certain situations that affect you deeply. Photography is the key that opens the door to that space and allows me to engage in a dialogue with my environment to express my point of view."
