Wonkun Jun, of South Korea, is the subject of an exhibit at Galerie Cubus-m (Inh. Holger Marquardt, Pohlstraße 75
10785 Berlin) from August 24 to October 5, 2013. His work is both abstract and monochrome--using luminous circles and diamonds as well as works that are almost single color. These abstract works are combined for the first time with the artist's photographs in this exhibit.
Wonkun Jun is a native of Seoul and studied both there and later when studing for an MFA at the Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie (Dusseldorf Art Academy). His work has been shown around the world and in the fall of 2013 he will be the resident artist at the Mark Rothko Center in Latvia.
