Valerie Carberry Gallery (Chicago) showed paintings by Judith Rothschild at Art Basel Miami Beach 2014.
Rothschild was born in New York City and went to school at Wellesley College (Massachusetts) and later at Cranbrook Academy of Art (Michigan). Early in her career she was known for her paintings of the California coast. The paintings here are later works that show the shift in her work in the 1970s. She began to create more abstract work.
