Civilian Art Projects (1019 7th St. NW, second floor) presents two new exhibits running simultaneously: Bill Rock's Guests & Wesley Clark's Targets and Goals. Both run from June 7 through July 20, 2013.
Guests is Rock's first solo exhibit with Civilian. These are paintings and drawings on paper from the D.C.-based artist. The characters depicted in Rock's work here are all guests of one sort or another. The artist has a BA in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College. He has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions and his work is in a number of significant collections around the world.

This is Clark's first solo exhibit since receiving his MFA from George Washington Univesity. This exhibit is new work and work "recontextualized" from his thesis. HIs work is about fictional histories, memories and artifacts. This is, in part, based on how humans recreate the past every time they recall seomthing.
Clark, a native of Silver Spring, Md received his BFA from Syracuse. His work has been shown all over the USA and is in collections here, Japan and Germany. He as worked as an art handler/installer and is the founder of Artist's Eye Installations which installs artwork and mirrors.
