Horn's exhibit is concerned with that point where nature and the man-made meet; he examines the intersection of the artificial and the organic. The artist "borrows" forms from nature which are then reinterpreted as decorative objects.
Horn, originally from Melbourne, Australia, studied sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts and Glass. Later he did graduate work at Massachusetts College of Art. His work has been shown in solo shows at the de Young Museum (San Francisco), Lux Art Institute (Encinitas), SJ ICA (San Jose) and featured in group exhibitions at GoMa (Brisbane), National Gallery of Australia (Canberra), Andy Warhol Museum (Pittsburgh) and the Museum of Arts and Design (New York).
This exhibit was helped by the Australian government and the Australia Council.
