Stage 5 (series) Thomas French Fine Art (Fairlawn, OH) showed work by Darius Steward at Ink Miami 2018. Steward is a native of East Cleveland and received a BA focusing on painting and drawing from the Cleveland Institute of Art. He later received a MFA from the University of Delaware.
His work is held in numerous collections in the USA. He is currently Scholar Squad Manager at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
The upper piece here, Stage 5 (Darius II, full face, eyes closed) sold as I walked in the door. The "Stage" pieces are of the artist's son and daughter. Even though the piece has a really bad reflection I had to include it.
