This is Belton's fourth solo show at the gallery. This exhibit moves away from a subject that has been a large part of the artist's work...the take-out coffee cup. In the past year she has been (like many of us) taking lots of walks as well and the things she has seen during these wanderings also find their way into the work: traffic cones, fire hydrants and other oft overlooked parts of our world. If these pieces depicted cakes you might think "Wayne Thiebaud." In other words? Wonderful work.
The artist will be on hand at the gallery for "Artist Saturdays" between 1-4pm June 19 & 26, July 10 and August 7.
