SOFA Chicago (Sculptural Objects Functiona Art +Design) is in it’s 20th year. SOFA Chicago takes place November 1 through 3, 2013 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall. There is a preview from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 31.
The event is the longest running art fair in Chicago and one of the longest in the USA. It’s premiere event in 1994 drew 14,000. Today more than 34,000 attend. Over 100 exhibitors participate.
SOFA dealers exhibit textiles wood, glass, ceramics and metal work. Artists range from those beginning their careers to acknowledged masters.
