There will be an opening vernissage from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12.
Hazard's sculptures are text based. He cuts and tears papers, spacing it and aligning it in wood to create an immersive landscape garden. The works are tactile and poetic.
The artist lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina and is originally from San Diego. He has a degree in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic State University and an MFA (emphasiis on sculpture, photography and video) from the University of Florida. His work has been featured in such publications as Hi-Fructose, Juxtapoz, Wild Magazine and Colossal.
