There seems to have been some color coordination going on at the Robert Fontaine Gallery (Miami) room at Aqua Miami Beach 2013. Don't let the pink fool you--the styles were quite different.
Excepting RYCA's poignant depiction of crucified storm troopers there was a great deal of pink (enough to challenge your manhood). There was also some funny, provactive art. I wonder what reaction Scott Scheidly hoped for when he finished Strawberry Shortcake Guild? The world may never know (or we could shoot an email to the artist or gallery I suppose).
The gallery is in Miami's Wynwood area so you can stop by and visit even outside of Art Week. Check out Wynwood's art walks. I am often baffled how locals don't get out to see all the art that is in South Florida ALL the time, instead waiting for this one hustling and bustling week. It is there, go get it!
