Their booth is always a treat and always include artists from the region, the city even. A few years ago they showed work by artist/educator, Dana from his early years. These pieces are from the artist's later work in the 1980s.
Work by Abercrombie is often featured by the gallery but this piece is quite large for the artist. The legendary Chicago artist (both for her art and her personality) usually painted works that are tiny in size. This "large" piece is a whopping 16 by 19 3/4 inches (unframed). Yes. that is a large work for her!
Hoff, based in New York City, who referred to herself as an "autobiographical" painter. Her work always referenced her own experiences. She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma as part of a large family. Her formal art education included classes at the University of Oklahoma (Tulsa), Hull House, The National Academy of Art and the School of the Art Institue.
