Port City Talks. Istanbul. Antwerp is part of the Europalia Turkey International Arts Festival in Antwerp, Belgium. The festival and exhibit are currently open (closes January 24, 2015)
Port City Talks is curated by Turkish architect, Murat Tabanlıoğlu, and is a journey through the Bosporus by way of photography and film by current artists.The similarities between Istanbul and Antwerp, two port-cities, are highlighted.
Fourteen artists took part, creating multimedia installations showing their views on modern Istanbul. Historical objects, loaned from public and private collections, are also featured.
