Naum Gabo is an artist that I was totally unfamiliar with. His painting, Imaginary Still Life (Rose Painting), is below. This is part of the joy of a show, be it Art Basel Miami Beach or smaller shows around the country; you discover "new" artists. Part of the point of writing about such shows is to let people know about artists and to learn about them.
Gabo is, by the way, a prominent and well known Russian sculptor. The fact I was unaware of him? It happens. Sometimes people fear admitting art ignorance. Don't let it worry you. Even those familiar with the main point of his artistic work--Constructivism--might not know much about his painting.
