Paris Roof Top #4 Michael Wolf, Paris Abstract, runs July 10 to August 30, 2014 at Robert Koch Gallery (49 Geary Street, San Francisco). There will be a reception with the artist 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 10.
Wolf, a photographer, lives part time in Paris and explores the urban landscape via the density of the city. The artist was concerned about working in Paris, fearful his work might seem cliche--but he obviously worked through that. He uses well known locales but focuses on the rooftops, what most of us never see.
Wolf was born in Munich and raised in both the USA and Germany. He attended Univeristy of California at Berkeley and then University of Essen. His work has been extenisvely exhibited in the USA and Germany.
The exhibit will also include vintage images of Paris.
