Jones is a British sculptor who uses bits of old magazines, books and newspapers to create outlandish creatures. These particular pieces are not creatures (just to be clear). Look HERE for more on the artist. This work looks more like gigantic printer's drawers. These are pieces that need to be seen to be appreciated.
The same could be said of Gibson's work. The artist has lived all over the world (USA, Germany, Korea, England and other places). He is a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and half Cherokee. He blends his own culture with his life experience to create work that looks to tradition but is also rooted in the modern world.
