Landau Fine Art (Montreal/Meggan) showed work by Marino Marini at Art Basel Miami Beach 2016.
Marini spent most of his career as a sculptor and professor in his native Italy. He was professor at Scuola d'Arte di Villa Reale (Monza) and later at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Milan). His work was the subject of several retrospectives but the most recent were over 40 years ago. His work isn't exactly "lost" but he is not as well known as some of his contemporaries. Landau Fine Art is always a highlight of Art Basel. They show work by masters like Marini. In various years you will see work like Fernand Leger, Amedeo Modigliani, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall and many others. Their booth is like visiting a great museum.
