Jonathan Bonner: New Work went on display April 18 at Ellen Miller Gallery (38 Newbury St. Boston). There is an opening reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013. The works re sculptures made of archival plastic in white, black or red and drawings of outlines of parts of Bonner’s body that are repeated single, syllable words. The words are in pen and ink. Different types of work but the theme is identical.
Bonner has work in collections including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Art, MFA Boston, the Brooklyn Museum and the Detroit Museum of Art. His work, sculpture installation and works on paper, have been the subject of 40 solo shows.
