Jen Durbin's 90 Moves in Nine Seconds (The Jackie Series 2001-2017) runs April 5 to May 21, 2017 at Art 3 (109 Ingraham St., Brooklyn). There will be a reception from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 9.
This series consists of 22 pieces, half sculptures made of wood, reed, plaster, papier maché and felted mohair; the other half are panel drawings, models and maps based on the Zapruder Film. For those who haven't seen Oliver Stone's JFK, the Zapruder Film is a grainy, shaky film of the assassination of President Kennedy.
The title of the installation refers to the 90 different facial expressions that Jackie Kennedy showed in the few seconds of the film.
