Capote, originally from Havana, is a installation artist, painter, sculptor, photographer and videograper. His work often juxtaposes items that seen incongruous placed together. In this piece he uses oil, nails and fish hooks on panel of linen on plywood. This isn't incongruous of course, creating a seascape out of fish hooks is the opposite of that.
His work has been exhibited in Europe, South America and North America.
