Hostler Burrows (New York) showed work Bby David Nosanchuk at Design Miami 2017.
Nosanchuk studied at Cranbrook Academy in Michigan. Later he received a degree in Art History from the University of Michigan and followed that with a Masters of Architecture at SCI-Arc. He later became a master woodworker and taught
furniture making.
The various butterfly pieces at Design Miami were among the most memorable in the entire fair. As individual pieces they catch the eye and bring you closer. At a distance you may not notice the butterflies but you are still drawn. When you are close your focus becomes the detail.
These examples of Nosanchuk's work are complex and beautiful.
