Freedman Fitzpatrick (Los Angeles) showed work by Amelie Von Wulffen At Art Basel Miami Beach 2016. Von Wulffen's work is startling and otherworldly. I wonder if the artist would take offense if I noted an initial impression? I thought of the cartoon Squidbillies. When chatting about fine art that is usually not an observation you find tossed about. Of course these works are different but they have a gothic sort of humor.
