After Art Chicago went the way of the dodo it seemed high art had abandoned the city of broad shoulders but Expo Chicago stepped in. In the Fall instead of Spring, the festival is close in its timing to other large Chicago art happenings which is one of those things that, over time could make Chicago more of an art destination. The100 or so galleries participating in the festival are from all over the world and are galleries we write about with some frequency (Cernuda Arte, Coral Gables, Florida, John Berggruen Gallery, San Francisco, Tandem Press, Madison, Wisconsin and Paul Thiebaud, San Francisco)
The focus of this festival is modern art and design. If you want more information head to www.expochicago.com. There will be coverage here of the event.
