Erik Parra's In the Same River Twice, runs October 15 to November 19, 2016 at State (1295 Alabama St. San Francisco). There will be a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 15.
In The Same River Twice, a two part, site and media-specific installation is made up of studio created pieces in conjunction with and in contrast to alterations in the space. The aim of the work is to mix personal and historical narratives with an eye to viewing current social problems through the lens of history. The exhibit includes installation, drawings and painting.
