We did an interview with Stoney Road's David O' Donoghue in advance of the fair. These pieces are not done justice by the "photography" here. The Teskey piece makes you feel like you are about to be hit by sea spray.
The Medusae work by Cross are unique even in the light but check out the (somewhat blurry) photos of the pieces below. The glowing background of the prints comes courtesy of a company that prints currency. They would not (could not) provide tell Stoney Road HOW they made the paper phosphorescent. O' Donoghue had no interest in my musings on the benefit of counterfeiting.
There is also a t-shirt based on these pieces that also glows in the dark. The t-shirt is made of recycled materials. The sell for $50.
Diverse and unique? Before the fair ends drop by and visit Stoney Road.
