The exhibit will feature Moses’ “crackle” paintings, pieces that use illusion and different surfaces. Moses first appeared in the late 1950s and was associated with Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles--throughout his career he has used and championed new approaches and technique. His work has been the subject of a career retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. You can see works by the artist in museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Modern Art (NY), the Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles) and many others.
