Octavia Art Gallery presents the Benjamin Franklin High School Student Show from January 12 to 26, 2013. There will be reception Saturday, January 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Works included are in a variety of media and reflect the high school’s teaching of the arts to foster flexible thinking, discipline, self-confidence, imagination and respect for all cultural backgrounds. Art has always done these things—true art—and it is great to see a school focusing on these lessons.
It is even more heartening to see a gallery showcasing the artists of the future.
