Behar Behbahani grew up in Iran. She says her art, since moving to the USA focuses on Iran’s “psychogeography.” She writes that she learned there that truth could be fabricated. Repression, violence, pop culture, poetry, relationships and politics weave together in the work in a phantasmagoric blur as in the piece shown here, My Fantazee: Channel.

If you look at the piece without the context, without knowing even the artist’s name you somehow come up with a mental picture of the same sorts of thoughts, of the philosophy woven into the work.
