Ampersand Gallery (Portland) showed work by Misha Capecchi and Dan Gluibizzi at Miami Project 2014.
Capecchi, a Portland-based artist, created these masks which seem somewhere between tradition and a horror film. Find out more HERE.
Gluibizzi's piece below really benefits from a close up view. It is, as you can tell even here, made up of a series of figures placed together. Each set of figures almost seems worth of its own painting but that would sort of dilute the point of the piece!
This work calls you closer to it with it's blue solitary figures arranged around the more brightly colored couples in the center.
