Ameringer McEnery Yohe (525 W 22nd St. New York) presents a solo exhibition of paintings by David Allan Peters from March 19 to April 18 2015. There will be a public reception for the artist from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday March 19.
Peters work have a topographical quality the achieves using a linotype knife. He works in acrylic paint and his work challenges the boundary between sculpting and painting. Basically he uses layers of paint which he then cuts down and deconstructs bringing out the harmony between the revealed colors.
Peters is a native of Cupertino, California and has a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University.
