You got a band review in some local rag run by a guy who remembers when Sticky Fingers came out and never tires of telling you about it? Did your mom make you clean the basement where you practice?

Iranian rock act, Hypernova, could have wound up with a public flogging. Nonetheless the band played a number of secret gigs in Iran before coming to the US to be able to play openly. Their debut album, aptly titled, Through the Chaos comes out April 6, 2010. The single Fairy Tales is already out.
Lead singer Raam says the scene in Iran is intense with amazing musicians who possess a burning passion for their art. They would have to have passion? How many rock n rollers from the North America or Western Europe would risk their freedom and their bodies for rock? I know tons of them and none spring readily to mind. On this basis alone, Hypernova is worth a listen. The record was produced by Herwig Maurer and mixed by Sean Beaven both have impressive resumes.
