Tim Larson And Dave Callahan (Of The Drovers) Playing At Uncommon Ground (Chicago) On July 24, 20167/13/2016 Tim Larson and Dave Callahan will be playing together at Uncommon Ground (3800 N. Clark, Chicago) at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016. Back in the day the two were members of the Irish-Alternative act, The Drovers. The two recently played together in Sweden. Tim Larson is set to play a couple upcoming shows. Vargar, his third LP is out now. You can check the record out via Bandcamp below. Two shows are happening soon--one in Chicago and the other in Los Angeles. Larson is poised to begin work on a new recording after the Chicago show, which will be the final bow of many of the Vargar tunes (for the time being at least). Shows Tuesday, June 17 at Martyrs (with Jail Weddings from Los Angeles). Show begins at 9 p.m. Larson goes on at 10 p.m. Friday, August 29 at Kibitz Room (with Elle Belle and Big Harp). 10 p.m. Seattle's Tangerine Release Music Video For "Nothing Better," Playing Bumbershoot Music Festival5/22/2014 Seattle's Tangerine release video for Nothing Better, playing Bumbershoot Music Festival (September 1, 2014) too. Obviously you can check out the video below. You can buy the digital single at the usual online digital retailers. In addition to Bumbershoot, the band is playing at the Capital Hill Block Party in Seattle. This new single follows 2013's Radical Blossom EP. The band is made up of sisters Marika and Miro Justad and Toby Kuhn and Ryan Baker. After a diagnosis of chronic insomnia for Chris Corner the future of IAMX looked grim. The condition is nothing to take lightly and could easily end a career. But, instead, Corner is adapting. To that end he is returning the the stage for an intimate performance streaming live via StageIt beginning at 3pm EST, Saturday May 31, 2014. Access is via virtual ticketing. You can buy tickets and "tip" during the performance. Go HERE for more information. This show will be a bit different from the usual fare from IAMX featuring Corner on acoustic guitar with effects. It is an "unplugged" sort of affair but a bit more than that. A Million Billion Dying Suns have a new video for their song, Hey Man. The band's latest, the Strawberry EP, came out in 2013. You can check out the song below. If you are in New York City you can check her out live April 28 at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleeker Street). Bell is based in New York but born in Russia. The LP is her second LP. In the past she has written about Russian cities. Now she approaches the rural areas of Russian and it's neighbors. Unicycle Loves You, out of Brooklyn, have a new LP, The Dead Age, coming June 10, 2014. We posted the track, Face Tattoo, earlier and now you can check out the song, Falling Off, below.
