Los Angeles' The Mercy Beat have a new remix single, Sweet, out for your perusal (you...you personally). The track is from the band's recently released, self-titled, debut. This Soto Voce remix is by Miguel De Vivo of Villains. I am unsure if Soto Voce is his remixing name or the name of the remix version (or both). I leave that to you.

The band includes Sam Endicott (ex frontman of The Bravery), Matty Bennett and Ian Smith.

3LAU has a remix of the song, How You Love Me, created by funk house producer, Kue. Chec out the track below.

Bear Hands release new remix by Klaxons of the track, Giants. It is a different take on the track, off the group's latest LP, Distraction. The band is on tour over the summer.

Some dates are opening slots with Cage the Elephant and Bombay Bicycle Club, others are headline sots. the group is also set to perform at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands festivals.

Jon Hopkins has a new video for his track, We Disappear. Check it and his North American and European tour dates out below.

The video is a reimagining of a track from the recent LP, Immunity. The new version will be released as a 12 inch on June 30, 2014 (b/w a Moderat remix of Abandon Window). The video and track features Lulu James.

Woman's Hour's first LP, Conversations, comes out July 15, 2014. They released a video for the title track a few weeks back and now have a remix by Fort Romeau (a new producer out of of London making waves).The new version dancifies the original a bit.

Betty Black has a video out for her track, Come Back Lover. The song is the irst single off her soon to be released LP, Valley Low. There is also a new remix o the track y Deantoni Parks (Black's former bandmate in Kudu).

Betty Black is the creation of Sylvia Black (aka Sylvia Gordon...how many NAMES does this woman have!). But I suppose she is a writer, producer, musician, vocalist etc. who has worked with artists ranging from Moby to Black Eyed Peas. Maybe she deserves a bunch of names.

The 1975 have a new remix for their song, Settle Down, by EMBRZ (free download). The band is heading out on a headlining tour of the USA and hitting festivals workdwide. Check out the remix, the tour dates and a video for the track, Chocolate, below.

Now,Now are set to release their Threads Remixed EP on March 25, 2014. The EP features remixes by Savoir Adore, Sombear, Field Mouse and others. You can check out a preview of the music at nownowband.com.

The Minneapolis-based band have also been busy recording tracks for a new LP.

Victoire, chamber pop out of NYC, have a new video for the song, A Thousand Tongues. The song was written by bandleader Missy Mazzoli an reinterpreted by the band's Lorna Dune (I totally love her cookies). This is one of those songs you really should listen to--I was ready to hit delete when I received the email (not for any other reason that there were so so many email today). I clicked on the video first and HAD to post it for others to see. Sure many others have already but more should. A new LP is due later in 2014

The video itself is another reimagining of Mauricio Kagel's experimental film Solo. You may have seen it in film class.

The band will also perform February 22, 2014 at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall with percussionist Glenn Kotche of Wilco as part of the Ecstatic Music Festival. The performance will be the premiere of a new composition by Mazzoli an Kotche entitled, Vespers for a New Dark Age.

The band, out of Manchester ranges from 60s style pop to more artsy fartsy terrain. But it all fits together, even a vaguely shoegazey remix like this.
