Big Black Delta LP Out Today, Tour Starts Tomorrow

Big Black Delta’s eponymous EP is out today. You can check out a stream via Spotify. You can also order the recording on vinyl and CD HERE.

Big Black Delta are a fun band to see live. It is edgy, frenetic music you can dance to. The set up is a guy with a laptop and two drummers. That is all the instrumentation. There are tons of remixes floating around out there for you to listen to and lots of accolades.

Jonathan Bates is the man behind Big Black Delta. He was the main man behind the group Mellowdrone and has also worked live and in the studio with M83. Last year Big Black Delta toured with Jane’s Addiction.

Texas Is The Reason Playing Final Shows EVER In Europe, Tickets On Sale May 2, 2013

Texas Is The Reason are playing their final shows—ever—in Europe. The tour will be a week long and the dates are below. Tickets go on sale May 2, 2013. The band’s latest release, Do You Know Who You Are?: The Complete Collection. The record came out in February, 2013.

The band formed in the mid-90s and was basically done by 1997. It wasn’t a Rolling Stones sort of career when it comes to longevity. They have reunited a couple of times but it has been rare.

These shows are it. Done. No more. Go if you can.

Sit Kitty SIt Have A New Video For "My Beloved"

Sit Kitty Sit, have a new video for their track, My Beloved, out now. As you might expect you can see it below.

The video came out today and was something of an elaborate production with 20 extras, fights, special effects make up and some smashed to hell instruments. The video is a duplication of a nightmare that Kat Downs, songwriter for the band, had.

Which is a pretty cool idea for a video.

Wicker Park Fest In Chicago Announces Bands, Festival Dates

Wicker Park Fest is one of numerous neighborhood festivals in the summer in Chicago. If you are planning to visit? It doesn't hurt to keep an eye on when these fests take place. Wicker Park Fest is July 27 and 28, 2013. Entry is a $5 suggested donation (you can actually say NO). These fests sometimes have musical acts worth seeing. You can check out the bands booked below.

In additon to music there is food and local artists--with local artists and art installations. Wicker Park Fest is also kid friendly with tons of kids programming from noon to 6 p.m. both days.

The Uncluded Announce Tour, Debut LP, "Hokey Fright" Comes Out May 7

The Uncluded is heading out on tour in May. The duo’s dates are below. Their debut LP, Hokey Fright, comes out May 7, 2013.

Kimya Dawson is one half of the band. This is The Uncluded’s first record but Dawson has seven solo records to her credit. She was also in the band The Moldy Peaches. You may remember her from the Juno soundtrack.

The other half is Aesop Rock (Bavitz), a hip-hop artist and producer. He has six solo records and several EPS out. His words are included in the best selling book, Hip Hop Speaks to Children and the Yale University Anthology of Rap.
