Odesza, out of Seattle, is touring the Western USA this March (first ever tour) with Emancipator and Little People. The duo are touring after their self-released debut, Summer’s Gone. The two tracks mentioned above, and the b-side, A Rifle, are all set to come out on a 7 inch February 5, 2013. These are an import only thing here in the USA available in limited numbers at the Matador Store. Highasakite, out of Norway, have a new single, Son of a Bitch, out now. The band’s U.S debut EP, In and out of weeks, comes out March 5, 2013. The band released their first record in Norway last year and they gathered attention with appearances at festivals, including Berlin Music Week. The band plays indie pop—mixing 60s American pop, Norwegian folk and undoubtedly touches from their own jazz music education. Certainly a band to keep an eye on. They will be playing in the USA in March. No specific dates yet but there will be NYC, L.A. and SXSW. Confirmed dates below. Tour
3/13-3/17 - Austin, TX - SXSW 3/18 - Los Angeles, CA - The Echo 3/20 - New York, NY - Mercury Lounge 3/21 - Brooklyn, NY - Glasslands Native, out of Indiana, are heading out on a North American tour in February. Some dates are solo but a big chunk are with Caspian. Dates are below. The band has just finished up their second album with Greg Norman who has also worked with Pelican and Russian Circles.
