 III Points Festival brings music, technology and art together in the Wynwood area of Miami. The festival takes place October 3 to 5, 2013. Among the acts confirmed are James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Jamie xx, Miami Horror and DJ Shadow. This is the first year for the festival.
There will also be lectures, film screenings (with the David Lynch Foundation), games, seminars and, because this is Wynwood, art. Each night has its own vibe There is a lot more to it than this of course. Guests will have acces to an app with downloads from artists, maps, videos amd more info on tht weekend. III Points is a collaboration between Young Turks (record label), Oh Really Creative and Club Bardot. Guests will be able to download a specialized app with a map, artist downloads, videos and media-related activities throughout the weekend. Find out more, including participating venues HERE.  BOYS NOIZE, aka Alex Ridha, are poised to tour the world (including USA). Dates are below. More than that Ridha has a new iPad/iPhone app, ERROR out. You can download it free HERE. There will be new music from BOYS NOIZE before the end of 2013. There was an EP out in June, featuring multi-genre dance music which was featurred on a summer tour. And it isn’t a song. The band are releasing Say the Same Thing, a new word game app (for iPhone, Android, iPad etc) today. The app comes via Paracadute, the band’s own company that funds various creative enterprises. Paracadute also releases music—from OK Go, Pyramids and Lavender Diamond so far. Makes sure they will be around awhile. The old models are falling apart kids, get on the new road!  DJs, Soulwax, are not only setting up tour dates but have also recently put out Radio Soulwax, an online and app driven audiovisual project. This is made up of 24 themed one hour long mixes with a video. The animation comes from the artwork for each record remixed. Best of all this is free. There are 16 hours of downloads available at www.radiosoulwax.com. There is, as mentioned also a tour; David & Stephan Dewaele AKA 2ManyDJs/Soulwax have announced a US tour including the HARD Haunted Mansion. The Radio Soulwax project took two years.
