Nozinja has a video for the track Tsekeleke. Shot in Johannesberg the track will be released on a 12 inch record later in the year. It is the South African artist's first release via Warp Records.

Known in South Africa as the originator of shangaan electro (a dance movement), he creates music that is based on the past but has eyes to the future. There is traditional folk her but also Tsonga disco and house. This is rave music from about as far south as you can get.

Soko, from France, is heading out on her first tour of the USA this summer. Her second LP, My Dreams Dictate My Reality, is being recorded right now. The multi-instrumentalist now lives in Los Angeles. Before turning to music she was featured in a number of French films--even receiving an nomination for a César Award for her work in À l'origine.

In case actors who turn to music scare you (can you say "Keanu Reeves" brrrr) you can check out videos for the tracks We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow and First Kiss below to dispell this fear. The first of these two videos is tagged as "inappropriate for some viewers" apparently because it shows two women kissing. When there is a man and a woman like in video number 2? The new LP is produced by Ross Robinson who has also worked with The Cure and At The Drive-In.

Morning Ritual has a new single, So Cold. You can download it free. The Portland-based band's self released debut, The Clear Blue Pearl, came out in May 2013. They refer to themselves as "hybrid R&B and fantasy folk." This is a genre name unlikely to catch on but you get the idea I am sure.

Tiny Victories have a new single, Drinking with Your Ghost, off their upcoming LP, Haunts. The new record comes out June 10, 2014.

The band was part of the Bonnaroo 365 tour and has played with bands such as Bear Hands and Ra Ra Riot (among others). The record is produced by Alex Aldi who has also worked with Passion Pit and Holy Ghost! (whatever you think of either band? Their records are quite well produced).
