We Are the Brave, from Australia, have a remix LP coming--Sparrow (The Remixes) comes out April 22, 2014. Remixes come from the likes of; Rich Morel (Morel/BLOWOFF/Deathfix), The Dualists, Culture Fires (aka MANIK), Nightriders and Gnome.

You can get the Sparrow (Alcala Remix) free via Soundcloud. This track isn't included in the EP. This is moody electronic music that will stilk make you want to dance. Of course it will be a little bit of a melancholy dance.

A new single is coming later in the spring of 2014.

Hand Practices, from Chicago, have a new...two song album, Hanging Out With James Franco. Some of us call this a single but not Hand Practices who are pretty high concept.

In truth, I saw them live awhile ago and I make sure to check out everything they do ever since. You should too. This single is available as "name you price" but I would encourage you to not be a cheapskate.

Eyedress (AKA Idris Vicuña) new mixtape, Hearing Colors, is available for your perusal. All 12 tracks were recorded in the artist's bedroom in Manila. You can download and/or listen to this new music HERE.

Vicuña recorded these songs using Fruity Loops on an old PC his dad gave him. This is DIY at its most DIY. He seems to be gaining some notice. Let's hope it doesn't change the tunes too much because there is something unique here.

The US Festival in 1983 was a short lived, perhaps before its time festival. It was held on Memorial Day weekened and was sponsored by Apple's Steve Wozniak. The idea, unsurprisingly, was to bring together technology and music. It was hot, it was sweaty and over 670,000 people attended. But after 1983 there was not a follow up.

Among the bands who performed were U2, The Clash (last show with Mick Jones), Missing Persons, Stray Cats, Judas Priest, etc.

Soulwhirlingsomewhere first emerged on Projekt Records in the 1990s--producing records of hearfelt, ethereal music that calls to mind everything from Red House Painters to Brian Eno and a slew of other acts.

Don't let this foolish exercise in comparison feel you; Michael Plaster created, and creates, something all his own as well. His music is like a fingerprint, when you hear it you know it is his.

One of DJ Puzzle's most popular free downloads are his Brazilian Lounge Sessions. This had over 1300 listens on Soundcloud in two days. You can check it out HERE.

DJ Puzzle (aka Jason Donnelly) is a producer, musician, DJ song writer and more. The "more" part includes being the man behind a ton of loop libraries. His loops have been used by so many artists it would make your head spin. You may not have seen his name cause, well, you can buy loop libraries and use them as you please.

The release includes 14 tracks, some of which have been used on TV shows. They are mostly upbeat, danceable tunes. It is available only via the DJ Puzzle website.

The Faint are reissuing their third record, 2001’s Danse Macabre on October 30, 2012. The release is remastered with six bonus tracks from the time. The release also includes an large booklet and is available on a triple disc set with a DVD and on double vinyl (which also includes the CDs and DVD).

The DVD includes archival footage from the band, music videos and projections videos they used on tour. The album will be limited edition—5,000 for the CD/DVD release and 3,000 for the LP/CD DVD package. It sounds like a LOT these days for something you refer as a “limited edition” but that is neither here nor there.
