Punk Rock was everywhere by 1982. It was even in Spokane, Washington. The punk of the area, an admittedly culturally conservative place back then, is the subject of a feature documentary, SpokAnarchy. This is another link in a long chain of documentaries about punk rock around the world. People like to pretend it had more impact than it did and that it was more than a way to sell stuff to gullible youngsters (like me at the time).
Nonetheless some super music came out of that time. Some of the bands coming out of this area include Stompbox, TOOL, Motorcycle Boy, Cattle Prod and one of my all time fave band names, Sandy Duncan’s Eye.
