West Fest In Chicago Features National Bands (The Black Lips For One), Food & More

There are a lot of small music festivals in Chicago. Many have the same half dozen bands and the same half dozen food vendors (big ass turkey leg anyone?) but West Fest is a little different.

This ISN'T to say none of the other free or low donation fests are without national acts. West Fest just sent the most coherent press release.

This is West Fest’s eighth year and it takes place July 7 & 8 between Damen Ave and Wood. Last year 50,000 people showed. The bands playing are listed below and include The Black Lips, Mates of State, Man or Astroman and many more (DJs too).

There will also be a Kids Fest and a Pup Fest. Area restaurants will be on hand as well. The West Town Chamber of Commerce also has a West Town mobile app coming.

Basic entry into the fest is a $5 donation. There is a $15 donation for your dog to participate in some of the Pup Fest activities.
