Trixie Whitley is finishing up her solo full-length debut after appearing at SXSW. Wow! An actual NEW artist at SXSW. Amazing. Whitley did release an ep earlier, Live at Rockwood Music Hall, but still, she is new.
The new recording is being produced by Thomas Bartlett and engineered by Pat Dilet. Go look them up they have impressive resumes. The full-length comes out in the Fall. You can, however, download Whitley’s song, A Thousand Thieves, now. You can also watch the video HERE.

Whitley was born in Belgium to a musical family. She was involved in the arts—music and theater from an early age. She toured with theater companies and was known for being the youngest resident DJ in Europe. She later attended the Berklee School of Music at the invitation of Daniel Lanois. Her first EP, Strong Blood, was produced by Me'shell Ndegeocello and Dougie Bowne. All pretty good company to keep.
