The Walkman are releasing a new album, Heaven, on June 5, 2012 on Fat Possum Records. It is the band’s sixth release and was produced by Phil Ek who has also worked with Fleet Foxes, The Shins and Band of Horses. Beginning in July they head out as the main support for Florence And The Machine on their North American tour.

The Walkmen’s first record, Everybody Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone, came out ten years ago. These days all the guys in the band have kids. All you dads out there (like me), this just shows there is no reason for you to stop rocking (in most cases in a figurative sense of course).
