The Chicago Underground Duo have a new LP, Locus, out March 25, 2014 on Northern Spy Records. The duo of Rob Mazurek and Chad Taylor create sounds using such divergent genres as techno, jazz and film music. The two men--in different guises have been behind 40 releases.
I am a little scared to listen to it but you shouldn't be. In fact, you should be sure to check them out at one of the tour dates below. They've been around for nearly 20 years and used to play at The Green Mill. I wish I'd seen them there. Every time I went it was some combo playing Giant Steps.
