Strange Talk, out of Australia, have just signed a deal with Wind Up Records. The band’s debut record, Cast Away, comes out August 20, 2013. You can download a track, Another Day, from the band HERE.
I opened this because the subject line of the press release email compared them to Daft Punk meets Cut Copy. Listening to the band that seems an apt comparison (more or less).
The new record was mixed by Tony Hoffer who has worked with Phoenix and M83, excepting a few songs mixed by Eliot James whose credits include work with Two Door Cinema Club and Bloc Party.
A U.S. tour is in the offing.
