Stephen Emmer's International Blue comes out September 16, 2014. The LP was produced by Tony Visconti and features Midge Ure, Glen Gregory, Liam McKahey, Neil Crossley and Michael Dempsey. That's members of Ultravox, The Cure, Heaven 17 etc.
The record is Emmer's homage to the pop crooner--and art form that seems to have fallen by the wayside (with all due deference to Nick Cave).
This is Emmer's first record since 2008. His career includes wr with the likes of The Royal Philharmonic Orchesta, Lou Reed, Trevor Horn and many others.
