Swedish band Junip are on the verge of touring Europe and the USA beginning in June 2010. Formed in Gothenburg Sweden in the late 90s the band released a single in 2000, an ep (Black Refuge) in 2006 and another single, Chickens/Azaleadalen.
Like many bands Junip have had lives outside of music and this is the first opportunity they have had to tour extensively. Now that they have the time and the exclusive focus an ep is due out on Mute records in the USA and Canada. Other labels will handle the release worldwide. The USA tour dates will take place in a two week period.

The band is fronted by Jose Gonzalez, more well known as a solo singer songwriter. If you are wondering about the name, Gonzalez’ parents emigrated from Argentina
