Shuggie Otis Reissues Classic LP, And Unreleased LP From Early 70s

Shuggie Otis, who wrote the classic hit Strawberry Letter 23, is also a guitarist whose studio work is legendary. He played with his father, Johnny Otis, Frank Zappa, Etta James, Al Cooper, Charles Brown, Mos Def and many more.

Otis released three solo records. The final was Inspiration Information (released in 1974). The acclaimed, and oft sampled, record has been out of print for some time. BUT it is about to be re-issued.

Inspiration Information (with four unreleased bonus tracks), along with the never before released Wings of Love, come out as a double CD on April 16, 2013 on Epic/Legacy. Wings of Love, the second CD, is a collection of studio and live tracks recorded between 1975 and 2000.

Otis is also heading out on tour (or recommencing his tour which began in November) in January. Dates are below.
