Let’s give the Independent Film Channel, Red Distribution and Rainmaker Management a hand for the compilation Sounds of the Cities. The compilation was put together with the help of Austin City Limits producer, Terry Lickona. The music is from all around the USA and includes, among others, Indiana’s Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. You can check the video for their song , Clap Your Hands, Below.
The Big Damn Band features Payton playing guitar and singing, his wife Breezy on washboard and vocals. They have also played on the Warped tour which seems a tad incongruous but variety is the spice of life.
Back to the compilation—it is a great way for listeners to hear music from around the nation and a great way for these bands to get the word out. Sounds of the Cities Volume 1 comes out June 5.
