Philip Selway of Radiohead-fame is releasing a solo record August 31 from Nonesuch Records. I had this info for awhile so I am sure everyone already knows about it.
But you don’t know that I very curious to hear this recording. It was reportedly spawned when Neil Finn had a gathering of folks ranging from Johnny Marr to Lisa Germano to Sebastian Steinberg to Selway and Ed O’Brien for a charity record. The result, 7 Worlds Collide was released under the name Neil Finn and friends.
There is more to that story but I am sure you can find it elsewhere. Suffice it to say that was the germination of Familial.
