The album is , Remainder and it came out May 11 on Community Records. The band is Caddywhompus and they are noisy and devoted to a DIY musical ethic. The band have been playing together for longer –since they were kinds, in fact, but this incarnation began less than two years ago. They have shared the stage with a who’s who of underground and experimental rock as well.
The tour started May 19 and continues through July.
The press says they are a “noise” band but they are a lot more musical than you might think with that moniker (because that often makes me think of a guy chain sawing an amp in half while the singer recites the Bhagavad Gita backwards through a megaphone).
