Neal Morgan is a pro drummer. People call him up and pay him to play wit them. Now Morgan, who has worked with Joanna Newsom and Bill Callahan, has a solo record coming. In The Yard is Morgan’s second solo effort and it is out January 24, 2012. You can hear a track, Fathers Day, below.
Morgan is a native of Nevada City, California and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. I also noticed there is a karaoke version of the record and a “drum-only” version of , Fathers Day, available as downloads with LP, cassette purches (or digital purchase online).
I am not sure how this came to be but I support karaoke versions of all music as a matter of principle.
